Dear Reader,

I am so proud to finally say that BEHIND THESE DOORS is officially out TODAY. I still can't quite believe it. This has been a dream in the making since I was old enough to appreciate how wonderful stories could be. We like to talk about making things happen. And then, somehow, that's all it becomes. Just talk. But now, it's a reality and I'm just really appreciative of all the love and support I've received thus far. And it's because of you. Thank you for being here and I hope you continue to be for whatever comes next! *fingers crossed*

An important theme of this story is finding that inner courage and strength in overcoming fears and not letting that fear overrule our ability to protect the ones we love most. Sometimes, when it takes over, we tend to regret the lack of action which can cause us to sit with remorse and that can haunt us. I know it's a lesson we all struggle with, yet it is my hope that we can learn something from Mark's determination and that we find ourselves with the kind of enduring love and understanding that he shares with Kori.
